I SUPPORTED THE KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

All Kickstarter pledgers will receive an email to collect their shipping information once surveys are sent out. Please check the email account you used with Kickstarter for the link to submit your info. If you are a project backer who supported the campaign after the Kickstarter ended through the Trill League website, you should receive an email requesting your shipping info also. Please check the email address you used through PayPal when you purchased your reward package.

I ORDERED THE DIGITAL VERSION IN THE KICKSTARTER. CAN I UPGRADE TO THE PHYSICAL?

When you receive your survey via email, you will have the option to add a physical copy of the book at a discounted price.

WHEN DO YOU PLAN TO SHIP THE BOOKS AND REWARDS/MERCHANDISE?

September 2018. If orders exceed a number I am incapable of handling by myself, I will be using a fulfillment company to assist in the S&H.

WILL YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Currently, I am shipping to Canada, Mexico, EU Countries, and AE. These are the areas that are based on where fans of the series have expressed interest in purchasing the book. Please note that since I am not a business who deals with large international parcel shipping, S&H rates are based on standard First-Class International retail rates. If you wish for me to ship to your country and it is not listed, please use to contact form below to inquire about adding it.

WHY CAN I NOT SEE THE SHIPPING COST ON THE PRE-ORDER STORE?

Unfortunately, the platform I am using does not allow the S&H cost to your country to be displayed until after the item is selected and in your cart, at which point you will be able to see before purchasing. Please pay attention to the cost, since the S&H of each item is based on the lowest option available through USPS. If ordering multiple of any items, the S&H cost is based on what is the lowest rate in relation to the weight and size of the item. For instance, if purchasing multiple copies of a book, you will see a rate charged per copy, until the weight of your order exceeds 15.999 oz, at which point your order now has to be shipped Priority, according to USPS standards. However, something such as any of the posters will ship for the same price regardless of how many you order since they will not exceed the First Class weight limit.

DUDE!? I LIVE OUTSIDE OF THE US. WHY IS THE S&H SO HIGH?

Since I am not a large-scale business, I do not have access to deep shipping discounts like most retailers online. Each item has been carefully priced based on the weight and size of shipping to each country outside of the US. Items such as a physical copy of the book and t-shirt will stay relatively low in cost until larger quantities are ordered.

For example, if you live in France, and you order more than 6 copies of the book, you will see a significant price increase from what 5 copies would cost since your order now has to be upgraded to a new weight class.

Also, larger packaged items such as the posters become very expensive to ship internationally, which is why I chose not to offer to ship any package containing it, excluding the US and Canada. This does not apply to those who already ordered a package containing it in the Kickstarter.

I'M NEW TO TRILL LEAGUE. SHOULD I KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE SERIES BEFORE PRE-ORDERING?

It’ll help, but it’s not a necessity. Trill League is a parody series that started off as a webcomic. This new story was really created for long-time fans of my work, but if you know anything about superheroes and anime, or pop-culture in general, you’ll have an easy time flowing into the series. I have released many one-page comics prior to Issue One’s debut. You can find them on my social media accounts, or possibly google them. All of the previous comics and character info will be collected in the Culturally Insensitive book if you would like a more organized and comprehensive introduction to the series. You can also download the Free Preview Issue at www.trillleague.com to check out some of the previous comics.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE IN THE ABSOLUTE VERSION OF THE BOOK?

This is a hardcover edition of the book that is an exclusive for the upper Kickstarter reward tiers. However, I had to print a minimum of 25 copies, which means I have extra copies of the book. Unfortunately, I am not reopening any of the higher reward tiers for purchase due to time restraints on custom artwork, so I am selling the additional copies separately. The Absolute Edition of the book is a comprehensive formatting of all the artwork I’ve produced for the series up to the release of its debut issue. It contains Issue 0, Episode One, all webcomic releases (including my unreleased Black Panther 2-pager), character art and designs from myself and other animation industry collaborators. It also includes Bonus Comic Stories “White Noise” and “Coming Home”, the latter being an exclusive featuring fictional characters of the upper reward tier backers. This will be the only book containing the explicit work that I will not release online.

I PURCHASE THE BLACK BOOK PREVIOUSLY. IS ANY OF THE CONTENT IN CULTURALLY INSENSITIVE IN MY VERSION?

For those who purchased either the physical or digital copy of The Black Book, the updated version of it is called Culturally Insensitive. Those in the $50 and higher reward tiers will receive a physical copy it. Culturally Insensitive is a slightly reformatted version of The Black Book with some newer character concepts and one-page webcomics. However, I would say 80% of the content is the same as The Black Book.

WHY AM I PRE-ORDERING?

As a series, Trill League has gained a lot of fans since its introduction. Many have requested that I produce more physical copies of my work. As an independent artist and writer, I am currently releasing the book without the aid of a publisher and would prefer to keep it that way in order to retain my creative rights and not allow anyone to dictate my creative direction or satirical writing on the series. Pre-ordering the book allows me to do an additional large count print run for those who missed the initial Kickstarter since doing multiple low quantity print jobs increases the cost of production and shipping, which keeps me from being able to offer any additional physical copies at a reasonable cost.

IF I CAN'T PRE-ORDER, WILL THERE BE ANY FUTURE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE THE BOOK?

Likely not until next year. I am planning to put the book on digital platforms in November/December of this year though.

WHEN WILL MY CARD BE CHARGED?

Charges will go through on September 5th. I will send out a notification first 2 weeks prior to finalizing charges, then again 1 week before. You will still be able to make any adjustments to your order before that date.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
